“IT USUALLY TAKES ME MORE THAN THREE WEEKS TO PREPARE A GOOD IMPROMPTU SPEECH.” MARK TWAIN
BASIC PRESENTATION SKILLS
The goal of this session is to understand and practise the most important pillars needed to maximise one’s impact when speaking to an audience. At the end of the training, participants will have understood their communication style and gained awareness about how to connect with various audiences and leave a lasting impression. The training session is exercise-intensive and covers the importance of structure, voice, body language and presence.
ADVANCED PUBLIC SPEAKING
Often we have the most difficulty understanding and interacting with audiences whose preferences are different to our own. Recognising these characteristics can help in developing strategies for personal growth and enhanced impact. This workshop encourages participants to practise the delivery of motivational, serious and trust-building speeches. During these advanced sessions, a big emphasis is placed on emotional expressiveness, body language and voice coaching.
MEDIA & TV INTERVIEWS
Speaking in front of a camera can be one of the most intimidating exercises ever. Do not worry: we have the tips and tools that will help you deliver your messages in the most comprehensive and confident way. This interactive workshop will allow you to develop your skills to hide/overcome your stress, manage your body language, frame your talking points, deal with sensitive and controversial questions, and prepare yourself for an important public appearance.
“The key2advance public speaking workshops have been one of the most extraordinary and successful classes our Academy has been offering to its students. Our young leaders - over 7000 Alumni coming from more than 100 countries - are surely a demanding audience. Yet these workshops - organised with Mona Shair and her team since 2010 - have not only met our students expectations but almost always exceeded them.”

"Thanks again for the amazing day. The team was super excited about the session and repeatedly spoke about it the days after… I think we’ve sparked a flame in some of the individuals and solidified and improved the rest. We’ll keep the spirit alive and critique each other around public speaking appearances."

FROM CONFLICT TO RESOLUTION: NONVIOLENT COMMUNICATION
We all find it easy to deliver positive messages to people that we like, but can find it extremely difficult to do the same with negative messages (saying no to something, for example). This gets even more difficult when we have a strained relationship with someone; a boss, colleague or family member. In this workshop, participants will learn how to manage their own emotions and deliver various messages to anybody at any time, without risking or fearing “break-down” or “conflict”.
TURNING THE TABLES:
ADVANCED NEGOTIATION SKILLS
Participants leave this workshop with a completely different approach to negotiation skills. It starts by exploring the biggest fears and blocks that accompany difficult situations and conflicts. It then moves onto revealing how proven techniques and psychological insights used in hostage negotiation can be applied successfully to any personal or professional relationship. Some elements include impulse control, building rapport, influencing others and learning strategies to overcome self-imposed limitations.
Brand identity is the most important asset of any organization. However, if a crisis erupts, it won’t be easy to protect the reputation/image of the organization unless a solid crisis communication plan is in place. This workshop combines theory with practical exercises, and aims to develop an emergency crisis communication planner that can be used to avoid and manage any reputational risk in the first hour and on the longer term.
"As someone working in the EU advocacy field, public speaking is a very important and key asset to have! Mona helped to cross internal limits and open up creativity and passion that resides in us. I also learned all aspects of how information is processed by the audience, so it will be much easier to reach people next time! "

With her help, we have been able to reflect on the needs of our team and design a road for improved performance, while being aware of common pitfalls. This is invaluable help for change management.”

ADDITIONAL COMMUNICATION WORKSHOPS
The need to “sell something” has remained unchanged for centuries. As for outstanding craftmanship, these skills have to be sharpened regularly and behaviours require constant adjustment to the environment. You’ll leave the training equipped with a (re)discovery of your sales talent and your personal code to success. This will be achieved by sales techniques put into a practical context, negotiation simulations and by enabling you to read and prepare for challenging situations.
CREATING AND DELIVERING TRAINING SESSIONS
Why are training seminars and workshops so important? Consider the consequences of not “getting it right”: The content could end up not being accepted, understood, or liked. One could risk the disengagement of participants, a failure to learn, a damaged reputation, and a possible negative effect on career development. There are many ways to engage the audience to make your training sessions more lively, fun and memorable.
Anyone who has ever led a structured facilitation understands the challenge of engaging an audience whilst having them walk out with impactful outcomes. In this session, our aim is to provide effective tools and methods to take a facilitation session to the next level. All participants receive in-depth handouts packed with checklists and worksheets for planning and conducting a facilitated workshop, meeting or conference.
We offer individual coaching sessions to clients that would like to work on their presentation or communication skills with one of our experts. To reinforce the results, trainers incorporate video-feedback alongside practical exercises.
