Olaf Deussen holds a  Master of Arts degree in Euro-Mediterranean Studies (International Politics) from Reading University, United Kingdom and a Bachelor degree in European Management from the Strasbourg Graduate School of Management, France.

Over the last three years he has been working inside and close to the European institutions namely in the European Commission, the European Parliament and for the Anna Lindh Foundation. His regional focus is the Euro-Mediterranean area, North Africa and the Middle East.  He has been working on projects in the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership in the area of intercultural dialogue, foreign policy, communication and conflict prevention.
